Prompty ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy.
By using Prompty, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Prompty is designed to minimize the collection of personal information.
Depending on how you use the App, Prompty may process limited account information when you choose to sign in using a supported authentication provider.
Account Information
Prompty allows users to sign in using services such as:
- Google Sign-In
- Sign in with Apple
When you choose to sign in, Prompty may receive basic account information provided by the authentication provider, such as:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile identifier or user ID
- Your profile image, if provided by the authentication service
This information is used only to authenticate your account, associate your Prompty account with your subscription status, and provide account-related functionality.
Prompty does not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, calendar, or other unrelated Google account data.
Prompty does not sell your personal information.
Authentication Services
Prompty uses Firebase Authentication to provide secure account sign-in functionality.
Firebase Authentication may process technical and account-related information necessary to authenticate users.
Authentication providers such as Google and Apple may also process information according to their own privacy policies. You can review their privacy practices through their official privacy documentation.
Camera Permission
Prompty requests access to your device's camera solely to allow you to record videos within the App.
Camera access is used only when required for recording-related functionality.
Prompty does not automatically upload camera recordings to developer-owned servers.
Microphone Permission
Prompty requests microphone access for features such as:
- Video recording
- Audio recording
- Voice-based teleprompter functionality
Microphone input used for these features is processed as required by the App.
Prompty does not automatically upload your audio recordings to developer-owned servers.
Photo Library Access
Prompty may request access to your Photo Library to save videos or other media created within the App.
Your media remains under your control and is not automatically uploaded to developer-owned servers.
Scripts, Recordings, and Local Content
Your scripts, recordings, videos, settings, and other application content are primarily stored locally on your device unless a feature explicitly states otherwise.
Prompty does not automatically upload your scripts, videos, or recordings to a developer-owned cloud server.
If cloud synchronization or backup features are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
Subscription Information
Prompty offers optional premium subscriptions processed through Apple's App Store.
Subscription purchases and payment information are handled by Apple.
Prompty does not receive or store your full payment card details, billing credentials, or Apple ID password.
Prompty uses RevenueCat to manage and verify subscription status. RevenueCat may process information such as:
- Subscription status
- Purchase history related to Prompty
- App user identifiers
- Transaction identifiers
- Device or platform-related information necessary for subscription management
RevenueCat is used solely to manage subscription access and premium entitlements.

Account and Subscription Association
If you sign in to Prompty, your authenticated user identifier may be associated with your RevenueCat subscription profile.
This allows Prompty to recognize your subscription status after signing in on supported devices.
Your payment information remains handled by Apple and is not stored by Prompty.
Analytics and Tracking
Prompty does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs.
Prompty does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Prompty does not intentionally track users across unrelated apps or websites for advertising purposes.
If analytics services are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the data collected and how it is used.
Third-Party Services
Prompty currently uses third-party services including:
- Apple App Store — subscriptions and payments
- RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement verification
- Firebase Authentication — user authentication
- Google Sign-In — optional account authentication
- Sign in with Apple — optional account authentication
These services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms. Prompty only uses these services for functionality necessary to operate the App.
Google User Data
When you choose to sign in with Google, Prompty may receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier.
Prompty uses this information only for:
- Authenticating your Prompty account
- Identifying your account within the App
- Associating your subscription status with your account
- Providing account-related features
Prompty does not use Google user data for advertising.
Prompty does not sell Google user data.
Prompty does not use Google user data to access unrelated Google services.
Prompty does not transfer Google user data to third parties except where necessary to provide the App's core functionality, such as authentication and subscription management.
Data Retention
Prompty retains account-related information only for as long as necessary to provide account functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain the security of the App.
Locally stored scripts, recordings, and videos remain on your device unless you delete them or remove the App.
Information processed by third-party services may be retained according to those services' own retention policies.
Account Deletion and Data Requests
If Prompty provides account deletion functionality within the App, you may use that feature to request deletion of your Prompty account.
You may also contact the developer to request information about account-related data or request deletion where applicable.
Some subscription and transaction information may continue to be retained by Apple, RevenueCat, Firebase, Google, or other service providers where required for legal, security, or operational purposes.
Children's Privacy
Prompty is not directed toward children under the age of 13.
Prompty does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through Prompty, please contact us.
Data Security
Prompty uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account-related information.
Your scripts, recordings, and videos are designed to remain primarily on your own device.
You are encouraged to protect your device with a passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, or another available security method.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
International Processing
Third-party service providers used by Prompty may process information in countries other than your own.
Where applicable, these providers are responsible for handling such information in accordance with their privacy obligations.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to Prompty, legal requirements, or third-party services.
When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy will be revised.
